The challenge
An event on this scale needs a temporary electrical infrastructure able to feed food stations, professional equipment, the stage, lighting, the box office, support areas, toilets and climate control all at once. Beyond the load, the real requirement was continuity: a power cut mid-event has no acceptable recovery time.
The work
King Service took on the installation and power distribution across the site. Two generators were brought in so that a failure on one source would not leave the event without power, and distribution was run to the various points: food preparation stations, stage, lighting, box office and support structures. The team stayed on site for the duration of the event to cover the infrastructure.
The outcome
The infrastructure fed every area across the three days of operation — food, production, lighting, services and support areas. The event ran from 20 to 22 June 2025 and marked the Chefs on Fire debut in the Algarve.
