The problem

Removing a former cinema area to make room for two new retail units left the electrical infrastructure out of step with the new commercial layout. Part of the existing routing and supplies ran through the cinema area, which blocked both the independence of the new units and the continuity of the remaining installations.

The work

A survey of the existing infrastructure came before touching any circuit. From there, cable routing and supplies were reconfigured: circuits resized and routed to each unit's board, boards affected by the change of layout repositioned, and new main and metering boards installed. All of it integrated into the shopping centre's existing network.

The outcome

Both new units ended up with an independent supply and their own metering point, the existing circuits were reorganised without losing compatibility with the centre's infrastructure, and the spaces were left ready for the incoming operators to fit out.
